5 WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE
Jul 24, 2025Don’t we all want a better life experience? Yes, you can be happy, but there is always joy to chase. You can feel content, and still want elation. You can feel so so, and want to feel better. So here are 5 ways you can better your life. Today.
- Engage in one session of radical appreciation. Look around your present space and choose one item to study. Look at it. Notice it. Explore it. Then, write out a list of things that you admire or appreciate about that item, even if you are making a stretch. Then, set that item aside and choose another item. Do this until you notice that your energy is more positive and your mood improved. Pro tip: appreciation always improves your experience.
- Get outside and talk to nature. Thanks the trees. Talk to the flowers and tell them how awesome they are. Tweet back at the birds. Nature is an awesome way to shift your energy and if you bring your conscious awareness to your forays outside, you will shift your energy in big ways fast. Pro tip: create a new habit of spending 15 minutes outside every day, doing nothing. Chart your progress.
- Create a want notebook. Every time you notice something you want, write it down. Don’t worry about the hows and see your role as only the collector of wants. If something goes awry, write what you wished had happened. If you notice someone who has something you want, note it. If you get an aha moment of something new for you, write it down. Pro tip: wants are the language of your soul, so your best bet always is to listen.
- Make peace with something you aren’t proud of. Just pick any memory that makes you feel uncomfortable and then forgive yourself. See yourself as having done the best you could at the time and congratulate yourself for forgiving yourself. Pro tip: forgiveness is the pathway to a great life.
- Market yourself only if it feels really good to you to do so. Instead, see life as bringing you everything you need and get curious about everything in your life today. If you have all the answers inside you, what can you ask yourself to evoke your next best step toward what you want from life? Pro tip: ask yourself, daily, what would be fun, joyful, or exciting to me? Then go do that.
